Town Administrator Position- Buchanan, WI (Population 7,082)
Located in the third largest metro area of Wisconsin, the dynamic Fox Cities, Buchanan is a growing community with a rich history and bright future. Buchanan is a diverse community that contains robust commercial areas, rural lands, farms and urbanized subdivisions. Five Board Members, including Town Chair, are elected on a non-partisan basis. $5.4M total annual budget (including Transportation and Stormwater Utilities) 12 FT (including contracted police) and 40 volunteer, paid on-call fire employees. In the spirit of representative town government, Buchanan’s future strategic directives include implementation of a 10 year, $30M Transportation Improvement Plan; development of a 3-5 year Town Strategic Plan; site planning/development for a new yard waste transfer station and stormwater management facility and the implementation of a recently completed organizational assessment.
Require Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field; prefer Master’s Degree with at least 5 years municipal management experience. Residency is encouraged. Salary range $85,000-$105,750 DOQ. Desire a strong background in budget development/municipal finance, public works and engineering management; human resources management; organizational leadership skills and the ability to cultivate positive and productive relationships with the town board, staff and community members.
