Village  Administrator  – Suamico, WI (Population 12,676)

Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan just north of Green Bay, Suamico is a progressive community with a range of options for people wanting to live in a rural and sustainable setting yet close to many unique urban type amenities. Suamico has a bustling commercial district that boasts a wide array of shopping as well as work opportunities close to home and the Village is very focused on preserving its small town atmosphere, reasonable property taxes and high quality of life. Suamico is a full service community that prides itself on being a great place to live, work, play, learn and visit. Anticipated salary range $100-$115K plus benefits, DOQ. Village President and Six Trustees elected on a non-partisan basis. $12.4M total annual budget including Utilities and TIFs, 22 FT and 50+PT/ seasonal employees.  Future emphasis on capital improvement planning and execution including utilities expansion , sound financial management and maximizing development and redevelopment opportunities.

Require Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or related field; prefer Master’s Degree with  progressively responsible administrative and leadership experience in a complex organization(s). Residency is encouraged. Desire a strong background in budget development and debt financing; human resources; contract/project management, commercial development/redevelopment, community environmental stewardship and the ability to cultivate positive and productive relationships with the village president, village trustees, staff and community members.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of integrity; open and positive communication skills (public marketing and community relations); a strong commitment to public service as well as show the ability to be visionary and a team builder in addressing community issues/opportunities.
