Village  Administrator – Wind Point, WI (Population 1,700)

Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan between the cities of Racine and Milwaukee, Wind Point is a peaceful and scenic primarily residential community.  Home to the Wingspread Conference Center designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and the Wind Point Lighthouse, the Village is focused on preserving its small town atmosphere, reasonable property taxes and high quality of life. Wind Point is a full service community that prides itself on being a great place to live, play, learn and visit. Village President and Six Trustees elected on a non-partisan basis with all having a strong commitment to the Village and public service. $2.05M total annual budget including Water and Storm Sewer Utilities, 4 FT and 14 PT/ seasonal employees.  Future emphasis on capital improvement planning and execution, sound financial management and several important land use decisions.

Anticipated salary range $72-$85K plus benefits, DOQ

Require Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or related field; prefer Master’s Degree with at least 2 years progressive municipal management experience. Serves as statutory clerk and treasurer; certification in either a plus. Residency within twenty miles is encouraged. Desire a strong background in budget development; governmental accounting; information technology/social media; human resources and the ability to cultivate positive and productive relationships with the village president, village trustees and community members.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of integrity; excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic (commitment to public service); open and positive communication (public marketing and community relations) and show the ability to be visionary and a team builder in addressing community issues/opportunities.
