The Executive Search Process
We believe that the process consists both of recruiting—the municipal officials involved will be actively selling themselves to potential candidates—and selecting—the elected municipal leaders along with appropriate staff carefully review applicants for the best possible choice. Too often municipalities only consider the selection part. While we certainly review applicants very carefully with you, it is not our role to select candidates.
Finally, we believe that the process should be conducted in a planned, deliberate, and timely fashion. Specific preferences of the local government should be accommodated in the design of the process, not as it unfolds.
