Public Administration Associates(PAA) is pleased to announce that its new leadership changes will be effective immediately.
Dave Bretl, a PAA partner and Vice President since 2019, has assumed the role of interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Legal Counsel. Sue McDade, a PAA Associate since 2018, has been named a partner and the firm’s new Vice President. Shawn Murphy, who has been a PAA Associate since 2023, is PAA’s new Secretary-Treasurer and has also become a partner. Chris Swartz, who has served as a partner and PAA Secretary-Treasurer since 2019, has become a PAA Senior Associate, and partner Kevin Brunner continues as President.
Bretl and Brunner stated that “PAA is extremely pleased to have Sue McDade and Shawn Murphy join us as partners. We have worked side by side with them for several years and know that they bring a great deal of energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for serving our local government clients with a high degree of integrity and innovation.”

Murphy also is excited about his new responsibilities. “PAA has built a stellar reputation in assisting local governments over many years. I appreciate this opportunity to work with other local government professionals who have and will continue to make positive impacts on the communities that they serve”.
PAA will be unveiling a new website and announcing the addition of several new associates later this month.
