Emily McFarland's Bio

Emily McFarland has worked in government for the last 18 years. Throughout her career, she has worked at every level of government. Her career experiences have allowed Emily to have a unique understanding and practice in maneuvering through federal, state, county, and local government. Throughout her career, Emily worked for the United States House of Representatives, the Green Lake County Health and Human Services Department, the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration, the State of Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, and she served six years as the full-time Mayor of Watertown. Before she was elected Mayor, she served as a Watertown Alderperson for five years. Emily served as the President of the Wisconsin Urban Alliance and as a Board Member for the Wisconsin League of Municipalities. Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Carthage College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from UW-Oshkosh.
