Sue McDade's Bio

Sue McDade has over 30 years of experience as a local government parks and recreation administrator. She is currently the Community Services Director in Waunakee, Wisconsin, a fast-growing north Madison suburb. Responsibilities include recreational programming, supervision of the community center (including a fitness center, gymnasium and community rooms), and development of the park system, currently consisting of over 200 acres of park land. Mc Dade obtained a master’s degree in Public Administration / Leisure Services Management from Penn State University. She is a past president of the Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association (WPRA), serving from 2014-2016. She is the recipient of numerous Wisconsin and regional honors and awards, including the prestigious WPRA Professional Award of Merit in 2010. McDade also previously served as an instructor in the Recreation Management Program at Madison Area Technical College.
